Counseling That Addresses What Is Actually Keeping You Stuck
Clinical support for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and emotional dysregulation. We work on the pattern underneath, not just the symptoms on the surface.
You are not broken. You are under-resourced.
If you feel stuck, it is not a character deficiency. It is often evidence that the emotional and nervous system skills most people develop through early experience were never modeled, taught, or available to you.
Time heals nothing. Intentional processing does.
At Willow, we do not hand you a coping list and call it therapy. We identify the specific patterns keeping you stuck and build real capacity to respond differently.
Mental health support across five areas
Depression & Anxiety
Often appearing together, depression and anxiety create a cycle of low energy and high-alert panic that is hard to exit alone. We provide clinical depth to help you understand the physiological distress behind the feeling, not just manage it. Rather than generic coping tools, we target the avoidance patterns and belief systems maintaining the cycle.

Trauma reverberates through our emotional, physical, and psychological wellbeing whether it stems from childhood or adulthood events. Using evidence-based practices including EMDR, we help you process these unique responses rather than continue to manage around them. Intentional processing creates integration in a way that time alone never does.
Learn about trauma counseling →Grief
Grieving losses of all kinds can be complex, confusing, and profoundly isolating. Whether you are mourning a death, the end of a relationship, an identity, or a future that did not happen, we walk alongside you so you do not process it alone. We provide a structured, empathetic space to integrate grief into your life rather than become permanently stuck in it.
Learn about grief counseling →Emotional Dysregulation
If you experience emotional responses that arrive at full intensity without warning, or find it difficult to return to baseline after being triggered, you may be carrying a dysregulation pattern rooted in early experience. We help you understand your nervous system responses and build real capacity to work with intense emotions rather than be overwhelmed by them.
Learn about emotional dysregulation counseling →Shame
The shadow of shame thrives on the belief that you are not enough, that your needs are a burden, or that you should already be over it. Our shame-informed approach specifically targets these internal narratives. We help you cultivate genuine self-compassion and move toward a life defined by authenticity and self-worth rather than by what shame has convinced you to believe.

Check AvailabilityClinical depth over generic support
We do not apply a uniform protocol to every client. We map the specific avoidance patterns, nervous system responses, and belief systems driving your particular presentation, then build intervention strategies from that map.
Sessions have a direction. You will know what we are working on and why. Progress is tracked, not assumed.
What to know about mental health counseling at Willow
Talk therapy without clinical direction can feel like venting with a witness. Our sessions are structured around identifying your specific patterns and building targeted skills to interrupt them. There is a direction, and you will be able to track your own progress.
No. A formal diagnosis is not required. If anxiety, depression, grief, or emotional patterns are affecting your daily functioning or quality of life, that is sufficient reason to start.
No. There is no pressure to commit to anything before you are ready. The first session is a chance for you to get a sense of whether this feels like the right fit, and for us to understand your situation. You decide what comes next.
Yes. We offer secure telehealth sessions for clients anywhere in Texas. The same clinical approach and depth applies with no reduction in quality. Telehealth is available for all mental health services we offer.
That is worth talking about specifically. If previous therapy did not move the needle, there is usually a reason. The approach was not specific enough, the underlying belief systems were not addressed, or the fit was not right. We would want to understand what happened before assuming more of the same will work.
Willow Counseling Center is a private-pay practice. We can provide a superbill for clients who wish to seek reimbursement through their out-of-network insurance benefits.
